Dales & Co Letting Agents didn’t start in a boardroom or as part of a corporate expansion plan. It started with three friends who had spent years working in the property industry and realised they all felt the same way — letting agency work had become too focused on numbers and not enough on people.
Between us, we brought more than 20 years of combined experience across lettings, property management, compliance and landlord support. We had seen how things worked behind the scenes and believed there was a better way. Landlords deserved honesty, tenants deserved fairness, and property management should feel straightforward rather than complicated.
Dales & Co was founded through that shared experience and a genuine desire to enjoy the job again. The aim was simple — to build an independent agency where relationships come first, conversations are honest, and landlords and tenants feel comfortable picking up the phone knowing they will speak to someone who understands them.
We remain hands-on in the day-to-day running of the business and continue to work directly with landlords and tenants. Each of us brings our own specialist knowledge and experience, allowing clients to benefit from a collaborative approach rather than being passed between departments or call centres.
We know our landlords by name. We understand their plans, their concerns and often the personal stories behind the properties they own. Some are letting former family homes, others are building long-term investments, but every property matters to us.
Today we support landlords and tenants across Yorkshire, the Midlands and regional cities including Sheffield, Doncaster and Liverpool. While the areas we cover have grown, the way we work has stayed the same — open conversations, transparent fees and practical advice when it matters most.
